Natera delivers genetic risk assessment and diagnostic testing to patients through a network of medical providers. The Clinical Genomics Engineering organization constructs software that powers complex, regulated workflows. These workflows include variant interpretation, clinical review, and reporting. As Natera expands within Women's Health, Oncology, and Organ Health, the delivery of unified, dependable, and compliant software experiences becomes central to both clinical quality and commercial growth.
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to define and lead strategy for foundational elements of the Results, Interpretation, and Reporting (RIR) platform. This position is responsible for architecting scalable, compliant, and consistent clinical software systems. These systems must support intricate genomics workflows across several business units. The Senior Product Manager will function as a platform-level steward, ensuring long-term architectural integrity, regulatory robustness, and tangible clinical and operational outcomes.
Initial Focus and Scope Evolution
The Senior Product Manager will spearhead cross-functional alignment among engineering, clinical operations, quality assurance, and downstream systems. This ensures that RIR components function as a unified, scalable platform. The role will identify systemic gaps, resolve cross-team tradeoffs, and guide architectural and workflow decisions. These choices will support sustainable growth and strict regulatory compliance.
This position will initially manage one or more RIR software components or initiatives. Responsibilities include defining long-term strategy, aligning cross-component workflows, and guaranteeing scalable architecture. This covers user-facing applications, data contracts, and backend services. The Senior Product Manager will drive strategic investment choices, set standards for usability and reliability, and ensure systems adapt to evolving clinical, operational, and regulatory demands.
As business requirements develop, this role will extend its influence across multiple RIR components. The focus will shift toward driving cohesive workflow design, shared data standards, and platform-level scalability. This expansion will impact Women's Health, Oncology, and Organ Health segments.
Primary Responsibilities
- Define and direct multi-year product strategy and roadmaps for one or more RIR components. Ensure alignment with clinical quality, regulatory requirements, and commercial scale objectives.
- Influence platform-level technical direction in partnership with engineering leadership.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering, bioinformatics, clinical domain experts, quality assurance, and regulatory teams.
- Translate business, clinical, and operational needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Define and refine end-to-end user workflows. This includes UI/UX requirements and supporting backend functionality.
- Drive cross-team alignment on shared data contracts and workflow standards.
- Mentor and elevate product management standards within the RIR organization.
- Own measurable improvements in clinical workflow efficiency, reliability, and operational scalability.

Requirements
- Demonstrated experience owning product strategy within regulated environments where clinical quality is non-negotiable.
- Solid understanding of genomics data pipelines and the journey of analytical outputs through review and reporting stages.
- Strong ability to translate complex requirements into clear product specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Proven background collaborating with engineering, bioinformatics, clinical, and quality teams under strict compliance rules.
- Experience managing complex workflows that span multiple systems and data domains.

- Experience with clinical information systems or diagnostic workflows is preferred.
