About the role
Natera is on the lookout for seasoned clinical sales professionals to become part of our Rare Disease team, focusing on promoting our innovative exome and genome testing services. This position is pivotal in expanding our market presence and fostering strategic collaborations with essential clinical partners throughout the United States.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Drive revenue growth and enhance market presence through direct sales efforts aimed at developmental pediatricians, pediatric neurologists, genetic counselors, and medical geneticists.
- Spearhead the introduction of new products while facilitating the widespread adoption of clinical exome and genome testing solutions.
- Forge and nurture relationships with Children's Hospitals and networks focused on rare diseases to enhance collaboration and service delivery.
- Develop and execute comprehensive territory business plans that prioritize revenue generation and market share expansion.
- Oversee the preparation of proposals, establish pricing strategies, and lead contract negotiations to secure new business.
- Deliver clinical and technical training to healthcare providers and their teams to ensure effective utilization of our testing services.
- Analyze and report on pipeline insights, performance metrics, and potential growth avenues to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product launches and ongoing support for healthcare providers.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Participate in industry conferences and events to represent Natera and promote our rare disease testing capabilities.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance knowledge of genetic testing and its applications in clinical practice.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of proven experience in sales within the diagnostics or specialty laboratory services sectors.
- A strong history of successfully acquiring new business and launching products in challenging clinical environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in selling to Children's Hospitals or within the rare disease sector.
- Exceptional ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, from healthcare providers to executive decision-makers.
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a relentless focus on surpassing growth objectives.
- Familiarity with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office Suite, and Gmail for effective communication and reporting.

- Experience in genetic testing or molecular diagnostics sales.
- Established network within the pediatric healthcare community.
- Knowledge of current trends and advancements in rare disease research and treatment.
