Senior Area Marketing Manager, Women's Health
Job description
Senior Area Marketing Manager, Women's Health at Natera.
About the role
The Senior Area Marketing Manager, Women's Health at Natera defines and executes the marketing strategy for women's health across the Southeast Sales Area. In this capacity, you will shape campaigns and tools that guide OBGYN, MFM, and GC providers, translating complex genetic insights into clear, actionable narratives. The position requires independent decision-making, strong cross-team influence, and frequent presence in the field to ensure initiatives are grounded in real-world needs. Your work will drive adoption and ensure leadership retains a clear understanding of regional performance against strategic objectives. You will act as a key regional voice, ensuring that all activities align with both market demands and corporate objectives. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to own end-to-end marketing initiatives and translate data into compelling stories for diverse audiences. You will serve as a critical bridge between corporate strategy and on-the-ground execution, ensuring consistent messaging across all provider types.
Key facts
This position is remote but requires residence within the Southeast Sales Area, which includes VA, MD, DE, DC, NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, AR, MS, and TN. You must remain close to a major regional airport to enable travel up to 30% of the time, with dates that are flexible and sometimes clustered. Travel is primarily to support HCP programs, local projects, and regional conferences where Natera's presence is strategically vital.
The compensation package includes a base salary of $132,500.00, with target total compensation of $183,250.00. An equity grant valued at $21,750.00 is offered in the form of Natera common stock. This comprehensive package reflects the scope of responsibility and the impact the role will have on regional growth.
What you'll do
You will own the end-to-end orchestration of regional healthcare professional journeys, ensuring messaging remains consistent across channels and customer touchpoints from initial awareness to long-term loyalty. You will design multi-channel campaigns that convert genetic data into clear value propositions for both providers and patients, emphasizing clinical and economic outcomes. By partnering closely with Medical Affairs, you will champion medical accuracy in content and speaker selection, while shaping congress strategies that amplify Natera's thought leadership in women's health diagnostics.
Logistical ownership includes managing venue selection, material production, and sponsorship commitments for local programs and regional conferences to ensure alignment with budget and strategic goals. You will establish and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, external speakers, and medical associations in collaboration with Sales and Medical Affairs teams to build a robust ecosystem of advocates. You will manage marketing project timelines and risks, tracking progress to ensure on-scope and on-schedule delivery while proactively identifying dependencies and roadblocks.
Regional performance will be evaluated through quantitative and qualitative analysis, allowing you to measure campaign effectiveness and assess competitive moves in a dynamic healthcare landscape. You will synthesize insights and elevate regional perspectives to executive leadership and cross-functional peers to inform corporate decision-making and resource allocation. Continuous improvement will be driven by testing messages, monitoring adoption, and recommending refinements to strategy and tools based on empirical evidence and market feedback. You will leverage data from various systems to identify trends, optimize tactics, and demonstrate the tangible impact of marketing investments. Collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders will ensure that all regional initiatives support broader corporate objectives and compliance standards.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree is required, along with three to five years of marketing experience focused on healthcare or life sciences, providing a foundational understanding of industry dynamics. Demonstrated ability to travel up to 30% is necessary, as is proximity to a major regional airport for efficient Southeast coverage across multiple states and time zones. You must reside within the designated Southeast Sales Area and adapt content for local provider and patient audiences with cultural and linguistic sensitivity. Strong end-to-end ownership of marketing initiatives, including strategy, execution, and measurable outcomes, is essential for driving results in a fast-paced environment.
The ability to translate complex genetic concepts into accessible narratives for diverse audiences is a critical skill for this role. You must be comfortable working independently while also thriving in cross-functional team settings that require diplomacy and precision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are non-negotiable, given the need to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners. A proven track record of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a regulated industry is required to ensure compliance and quality. You should be comfortable using data to inform decisions and demonstrate the impact of marketing activities on business outcomes.
Nice to have
Prior experience designing campaigns for genetic testing and women's health audiences is preferred, as it provides context-specific insights into messaging and channel selection. Familiarity with the unique nuances of genetic diagnostics and how they intersect with women's health decisions will allow for more nuanced and impactful strategies.
Skills & tools
Working knowledge of UX offerings, patient education tools, Salesforce, Tableau, Marketo, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office is expected to enable efficient execution and reporting. Proficiency in these platforms will support data-driven decision-making and seamless collaboration across teams. Experience with marketing automation and analytics tools will help optimize campaigns and demonstrate ROI to leadership.
