What you'll do
Conduct comprehensive subjective and objective assessments to identify pelvic floor dysfunction and related movement patterns.
Formulate individualized care plans that integrate evidence-based pelvic floor physiotherapy with the broader Myo philosophy of full-body awareness.
Deliver hands-on internal and external treatment techniques to address tension, weakness, and coordination impairments in the pelvic region.
Design and prescribe personalized exercise programs that empower clients to manage their symptoms and build sustainable resilience.
Educate clients on pelvic anatomy, bladder and bowel function, and the connection between breath, core, and movement for whole-body impact.
Collaborate with other Myo practitioners, including physiotherapists, chiropractors, and massage therapists, to provide integrated care that supports total-body function.
Utilize real-time feedback tools, such as ultrasound or EMG when appropriate, to enhance client understanding and treatment outcomes.
Monitor client progress through consistent reassessment, adjusting interventions to align with evolving goals and physiological response.
Champion injury prevention by identifying risk factors and movement habits that may compromise pelvic health over time.
Represent Myo in the community by contributing to content, workshops, or events that promote pelvic health awareness and proactive body care.
Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely clinical documentation that reflects clinical reasoning, outcomes, and adherence to best practices.
Act as a clinical leader within the clinic, modeling professionalism, curiosity, and a growth mindset for clients and colleagues alike.
Requirements
You must be a registered physiotherapist with eligibility to practice in the province of British Columbia.
You must hold a current certification or advanced training in pelvic floor physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
You must demonstrate a strong understanding of pelvic floor anatomy, physiology, and evidence-based assessment techniques.
You must be able to perform and teach internal vaginal or rectal examinations as required for assessment and treatment.
You must comply with all applicable health privacy regulations, including PIPEDA and PHIPA, in handling client health information.
You must maintain strict professional boundaries and adhere to the ethical standards and code of conduct outlined by your regulatory college.
You must communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds, adapting your language and approach to meet individual needs.
You must be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, valuing the perspectives of physiotherapists, chiropractors, and other health professionals.
Nice to have
Previous experience working with clients who have pelvic pain, incontinence, or pelvic organ prolapse.
Experience using real-time ultrasound or other biofeedback tools to support client education and treatment.
Familiarity with the Myo approach to movement health and full-body awareness.
Experience working with athletes, postpartum individuals, or clients with chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
Practical notes
This is a contractor role based in Metro Vancouver, BC.
Hours are flexible and will be negotiated directly between the clinician and the clinic, aligned with client demand and operational needs.
Travel between Myo locations may be required within the Metro Vancouver area.
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
