About the role
You will partner closely with the Senior Accountant and VP of Finance to support the Company's accounting operations, treasury activities, and financial reporting across multiple entities. This is a hands-on role that combines technical accounting, treasury operations, cash management, and financial operations to help ensure accurate financial reporting, effective liquidity management, and strong internal controls. You will own key aspects of the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet account reconciliations, and maintaining detailed workpapers to support financial statements. This role is ideal for someone approximately two years out of college, preferably with public accounting experience at a Big Four or other national accounting firm, who is looking to transition into industry while developing expertise in both accounting and treasury. You will assist with tax support schedules and regulatory reporting while monitoring daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts, entities, and payment processors to safeguard liquidity. The position involves preparing daily and weekly cash reporting, completing bank reconciliations, and supporting treasury process improvements to strengthen cash management controls over time. You will also help with vendor payments, accounts payable processing, and reviews of employee expense reports to ensure compliance with Company policy.

What you'll do
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process across multiple entities while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and deadlines.
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation that clearly explain the nature of each entry for review and audit purposes.
- Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items to ensure completeness and accuracy in financial records.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and supporting schedules that provide clear insight into the financial position of the Company.
- Maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting workpapers to create a reliable audit trail for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of consolidated financial reporting as the Company moves toward audit-readiness and regulatory alignment.
- Assist with tax support schedules and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with applicable rules and timely filings.
- Monitor daily cash positions across multiple bank accounts, entities, and payment processors to maintain visibility into liquidity.
- Prepare daily and weekly cash reporting to support proactive liquidity management and informed decision-making.
- Complete bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items to resolve discrepancies and validate cash balances.
- Assist with wire transfers, ACH payments, and intercompany cash movements while maintaining proper documentation and approvals.
- Track payment processor settlements, reserve balances, and other treasury-related balances to ensure accuracy and transparency.
- Assist with maintaining short-term cash flow forecasts and liquidity schedules that support planning and risk management.
- Support bank account administration and treasury documentation to uphold strong governance and control frameworks.
- Maintain treasury schedules and assist with cash management reporting to provide timely insights to leadership.
- Support treasury process improvements and help strengthen cash management controls through thoughtful analysis and collaboration.
- Assist with vendor payments and accounts payable processing to ensure efficient and accurate disbursements.
- Review employee expense reports for compliance with Company policy, with experience using Ramp noted as a plus.
- Prepare prepaid expense, fixed asset, and other accrual schedules to properly reflect obligations and asset changes.
- Assist with intercompany reconciliation activities to ensure accurate consolidation and alignment across entities.
Requirements
- Approximately two years out of college, with a preference for candidates with relevant internship or full-time experience in accounting or finance.
- Prior public accounting experience at a Big Four or other national accounting firm is preferred and strongly desired.
- Demonstrated interest in transitioning from public accounting to an industry role in fintech or financial markets.
- Strong understanding of general accounting principles, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow accounting.
- Familiarity with treasury operations, cash management, and bank reconciliation processes is highly valued.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced, growing environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and accounting systems to perform detailed analysis and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to support collaboration with finance and operational teams.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving processes, systems, and regulatory requirements in a dynamic fintech setting.
