This position is a hands-on Quality Assurance role with direct ownership of release readiness. You will act as the final quality gate before changes reach production, working alongside product and engineering to define acceptance criteria, validate behavior, and ensure stability. The focus is on accuracy, reliability, and a testing culture where quality is a shared responsibility.

What You Will Do

You will define and enforce acceptance criteria across all trading features, ensuring that every release meets functional and risk expectations. Your work will span end-to-end validation, from initial test planning through production smoke checks, with a particular emphasis on equities, futures, and leveraged products. You will verify that scenarios reflect real trader behavior and that edge cases common in live trading are covered.

A core responsibility is leading end-to-end regression across tickets while confirming that acceptance criteria are satisfied and that production deployments remain stable. You will guide the integration of automated regression into CI pipelines so that every RC build receives automated validation before manual testing begins. This allows manual efforts to concentrate on new functionality rather than repeating checks on stable behavior.

You will build and extend automated test suites that exercise critical user journeys, including account creation, trading workflows, payouts, and authentication paths. By partnering with developers during code review, you will promote testability, clarify coverage expectations, and verify that unit and integration tests are sufficient before features reach QA.

Supporting product managers during UAT on staging will be part of the role, including answering environment questions, providing test data, and reproducing issues on demand. You will maintain stable staging environments so product and engineering can proceed with confidence. Clear documentation of test plans, checklists, and recurring issues will keep knowledge shared and prevent silos.

Key Qualifications

You bring a strong understanding of trading markets and the behavior of instruments such as equities, futures, and leveraged products. You appreciate the importance of accuracy and timing in live trading contexts and know how failures can appear from a trader's perspective.

You have experience as a QA Engineer on web or mobile products, applying a structured, process-driven approach to release quality. Hands-on work writing and maintaining automated end-to-end test suites using frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress is expected. You are familiar with the full QA lifecycle, including test planning, regression execution, bug management, environment ownership, and release sign-off.

You can integrate automated suites into CI pipelines so that automated validation occurs before manual testing begins. Your testing is thorough yet efficient, balancing coverage with the need for rapid feedback.

Preferred Experience and Environment

Experience in fintech, financial markets, or trading platforms is a plus, as is familiarity with how regulated environments handle risk and compliance. Comfort with Jira for clear bug documentation, including reproducible steps and environment details, is essential. You communicate technical trade-offs clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Tools and Daily Workflow

Your day-to-day involves Playwright or Cypress, Jira, and CI systems that coordinate builds and tests. You will work in a hybrid setting with options for remote work, based in Plano, Texas, with access to role-specific hardware. Collaboration is asynchronous when needed, but you will also participate in real-time discussions during test cycles and release windows.

Compensation and Role Details

This is a full-time position with an annual compensation of $100,000. The role reports to the QA leadership track and offers opportunities to grow into senior automation and test architecture.
