Mulilo is seeking a dedicated Project Quality Assurance professional to join our dynamic team in South Africa. What you'll do
- Develop and implement comprehensive quality assurance plans tailored to specific projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections and audits throughout various project phases to identify potential quality issues and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication regarding quality expectations and standards.
- Analyze project documentation, including specifications and design plans, to ensure that all elements meet quality criteria before execution.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality assessments, highlighting findings, recommendations, and corrective actions to be taken.
- Lead training sessions for project teams on quality assurance practices, fostering a culture of quality awareness and continuous improvement.
- Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and verify their effectiveness in addressing identified quality concerns.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in quality assurance methodologies, integrating relevant practices into our processes.
- Participate in project meetings to provide insights on quality-related matters and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Assist in the development of quality metrics and key performance indicators to measure project success and areas for improvement.
- Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and clients, to ensure transparency and adherence to quality standards.
- Support the documentation and management of quality assurance records, ensuring easy access and retrieval for audits and reviews.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, preferably within the renewable energy sector or construction industry.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies, including ISO standards.
- Proven experience in conducting audits and inspections, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey quality standards and expectations.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools for documentation and reporting purposes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating strong independent problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices is advantageous.
- A proactive approach to identifying potential quality issues and implementing effective solutions.
Nice to have
- Certification in quality management or quality assurance (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).
- Experience with renewable energy projects, particularly in solar or wind energy sectors.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards relevant to the energy industry.
