About the role
The is responsible for orchestrating the end-to-end flow of goods required for the design, assembly, and delivery of robotic automation solutions. This position owns the strategic sourcing and tactical execution of all procurement activities for critical items such as robots, sensors, safety equipment, and custom grippers. The role serves as the primary interface between engineering requirements and the supplier base, ensuring that commercial terms are favorable and operationally sound. You will leverage Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to maintain data integrity and visibility across the entire procurement cycle. Success in this role means building resilient relationships with suppliers that can support innovation and quality standards in a technical manufacturing environment. The specialist is expected to drive cost efficiency while safeguarding project timelines and material availability. This function requires a proactive mindset to identify risks and implement corrective actions before they impact production or project delivery.

What you'll do
- Source and procure components for robotic automation systems, including robots, sensors, safety equipment, grippers, and other industrial hardware.
- Develop RFQs/RFPs in collaboration with engineering teams and evaluate supplier proposals to select the optimal commercial and technical fit.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers while negotiating competitive pricing, lead times, and commercial terms that align with company objectives.
- Create purchase orders and manage procurement activities using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage warehouse operations, including goods receipt, storage configuration, inventory control, material picking, and stock accuracy to support production needs.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely deliveries and strict compliance with international shipping requirements and Incoterms.
- Work closely with Project Managers to confirm material availability according to project schedules and to resolve any potential bottlenecks.
- Monitor inventory levels, perform regular stock reconciliations, and provide data to support financial reporting and decision-making.
- Support supplier quality management by coordinating inspections, resolving quality issues promptly, and participating in supplier evaluations to drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory through process analysis and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering, sales, finance, and operations teams to support successful project execution and cross-functional goals.
- Ensure all procurement documentation is complete, archived, and traceable in accordance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance metrics to inform future sourcing strategies and risk mitigation plans.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of supply chain processes by adopting best practices and leveraging digital tools available within the ERP environment.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Bring years of experience in supply chain, procurement, logistics, or warehouse operations demonstrating a proven track record in technical environments.
- Possess direct experience sourcing technical or industrial components, with a preference for background within manufacturing, automation, or robotics sectors.
- Demonstrate knowledge of procurement processes, including requisitioning, sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationship management.
- Show expertise in inventory management principles and international logistics to handle complex supply chain flows across borders.
- Have familiarity with ERP systems, where experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is considered a strong advantage.
- Exhibit strong negotiation skills to secure favorable agreements that balance cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Apply analytical skills to interpret data, assess supplier performance, and support sound decision-making.
- Use organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced setting.
