As the Facilities Lead at Bamboohr, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operational efficiency and maintenance of our facilities in Castlepollard, Westmeath. What you'll do

• Oversee the daily operations of the facilities, ensuring all systems and equipment are functioning optimally to support business activities.
• Lead and manage a team of facility staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to foster a high-performing work environment.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
• Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Monitor facility budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high standards of service.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facilities to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments and safety audits to maintain a safe workplace for all employees.
• Collaborate with other departments to understand their facility needs and provide solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Manage space allocation and utilization, ensuring that all areas are effectively utilized and meet the needs of the organization.
• Prepare reports on facility performance metrics, presenting findings and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in facility management, integrating new technologies and methodologies to improve operations.
• Foster a culture of sustainability within the facilities, implementing initiatives that reduce environmental impact and promote energy efficiency.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex facilities.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and driving performance improvements.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing facility-related issues.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in facility management.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Proficient in using facility management software and tools for tracking maintenance activities and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• A degree in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, particularly in a leadership role.
