Bamboohr is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead our Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives at our facility in Anderson, South Carolina. What you'll do

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs that comply with local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of the facility to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Lead incident investigations, analyzing root causes of accidents or near misses, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence while promoting a culture of transparency and learning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into operational processes, ensuring that safety is a fundamental aspect of all activities.
• Provide training and resources to employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety awareness and encouraging proactive participation in EHS initiatives.
• Monitor and report on key EHS metrics, preparing regular updates for management and stakeholders to highlight progress and areas for improvement.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in EHS management, ensuring that Bamboohr remains at the forefront of safety and environmental responsibility.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies, ensuring timely communication and compliance with all reporting requirements.
• Develop and manage the EHS budget, allocating resources effectively to support program initiatives and improvements.
• Lead emergency response planning and drills, ensuring that all employees are prepared for potential incidents and understand their roles in emergency situations.
• Foster relationships with external stakeholders, including local community organizations and regulatory bodies, to promote Bamboohr's commitment to safety and sustainability.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives within the organization, encouraging innovative approaches to enhance EHS performance and employee engagement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental laws, and industry standards related to health and safety.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing successful EHS programs and initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels of the organization.
• Experience conducting training sessions and workshops on EHS topics for diverse audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH, or similar) is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
• Previous experience in a leadership role within an EHS team.
• Knowledge of ergonomic principles and practices.
• Experience with incident investigation methodologies (e.g., TapRooT, RCA).
