About the role
You will define and own the technical vision for multi-experience application solutions that fuse low-code automation with advanced AI capabilities. You will partner with commercial and technical stakeholders to translate complex business challenges into compelling, platform-based architectures. You will evangelize the Mendix platform and AI ecosystem to influence presales strategy and deal momentum. You will design, prototype, and validate solution blueprints that de-risk implementation and accelerate customer adoption. You will act as a trusted advisor, shaping conversations with C-level executives on digital transformation and intelligent automation. You will collaborate globally with delivery teams to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned with product roadmaps. You will contribute to the continuous enhancement of presales assets, including playbooks, reference architectures, and proof-of-concept frameworks. You will represent Mendix at industry forums and customer engagements, reinforcing our position as the enterprise low-code leader.

What you'll do
Architect end-to-end multi-experience solutions that leverage the Mendix low-code platform and integrated AI services to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Design and validate application blueprints, orchestrating modular components, data models, APIs, and user experiences to address specific customer workflows.
Lead collaborative workshops with business and technology leaders to uncover requirements, align on scope, and co-create viable solution approaches.
Translate complex enterprise requirements into clear technical narratives that highlight the strategic advantages of low-code and AI-driven development.
Develop interactive prototypes and minimum viable products that de-risk assumptions and accelerate stakeholder buy-in during the sales cycle.
Partner with delivery and engineering teams to ensure proposed architectures are practical, maintainable, and aligned with implementation capabilities.
Quantify the business impact of solution designs, including time-to-value, operational efficiency gains, and total cost of ownership reductions.
Champion the Mendix and Siemens ecosystem story, articulating how the combined platform accelerates innovation and digital transformation.
Conduct solution reviews and knowledge transfers to ensure consistent quality and adherence to enterprise governance standards.
Support the development of reusable assets, such as solution patterns, reference architectures, and technical documentation for global presales teams.
Engage with customers and partners to surface new use cases, providing critical feedback that informs product evolution and platform enhancements.
Represent Mendix in key customer meetings and executive briefings, reinforcing our leadership in enterprise low-code and intelligent application platforms.
Requirements
You must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
You must possess a minimum of eight years of professional experience in software development, solution architecture, or presales engineering roles.
You must have a strong track record of designing and delivering enterprise-grade applications using low-code or no-code platforms.
You must demonstrate deep expertise with Mendix, including hands-on experience with the Mendix Application Platform, modeling, microflows, and integration patterns.
You must have substantial experience implementing AI-enabled solutions and understand how AI services can be integrated into low-code application architectures.
You must be proficient in modern software development practices, including API design, microservices, event-driven architecture, and secure authentication mechanisms.
You must have excellent communication skills, enabling you to tailor your message to both technical and non-technical audiences in high-stakes environments.
You must be willing to travel up to 25% in support of customer engagements, project reviews, and industry events as required.
Nice to have
Experience with Siemens products, industrial automation, or digital twin platforms is highly valued.
Demonstrated success in regulated industries such as finance, insurance, or healthcare is preferred.
Hands-on background with cloud platforms, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines is strongly encouraged.
Familiarity with advanced analytics, data engineering, and real-time streaming architectures is an asset.
Experience mentoring junior architects and contributing to technical community initiatives is appreciated.
Practical notes
This role requires availability for up to 25% travel in support of customer engagements, project reviews, and industry events.
