About the role
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain consults in the development of supply chain management best practices and strategies for the organization. They create Purchasing and Sourcing strategies specifically for the Components on the Bills of Materials. The role involves creating scalability plans aligned with strategic company goals, including systems implementation, reporting methods, and hiring plans. This manager works closely with Head of Programs and Partnerships to maintain good supplier selection and relationships while negotiating contracts to ensure high quality at the lowest possible cost. They manage purchase orders and the timing of Direct Materials from the Bill of Materials with precision. Additionally, they manage a diverse team of Purchasing and Supply Chain Employees to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently. The position requires continuous effort to drive down bill of materials costs and oversee shipping/receiving functions. The Senior Manager is also responsible for the report out and accuracy of Inventory within the Inventory Cage and ensures proper transactions within the ERP are being entered to account for the ins and outs of inventory.
