About the role
You will own the establishment and continuous maturation of the internal audit function at May Mobility. You will lead the preparation of the corporate risk assessment analysis and collaborate closely with management and those charged with governance in planning audits. You will enhance the company's control framework by evaluating existing documentation and establishing updated internal controls based on risk assessments. You will support the execution of risk assessments for business and product areas, analyze identified gaps, and recommend remediation actions. You will define audit scope and design control testing steps to evaluate the adequacy of control designs and operating effectiveness. You will effectively partner with finance, legal, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure completion of remediation activities agreed upon during audit projects. You will provide guidance to all departments on control and process best practices and assist with enhancing policies and implementing new systems. You will participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure regulatory and risk issues are properly identified and managed. You will lead internal trainings to increase awareness of internal controls and coordinate internal audit work performed by third-party firms. You will collaborate and provide recommendations on the future vision of the internal audit function, including resourcing, methods, and technology enablement. You will lead coordination with the external audit team in supporting the documentation required for the annual audit.

What you'll do
Lead the preparation of the corporate risk assessment analysis and work with management and those charged with governance in planning audits.
Enhance the company's control framework by contemplating documentation available to date and establishing and updating internal controls as a result of the risk assessment and business knowledge obtained within this role.
Support the execution of risk assessments for business and product areas, analyze gaps identified and recommend remediation actions for risk gaps.
Define audit scope and design control testing steps to evaluate the adequacy of the control designs and operating effectiveness.
Effectively partner with finance, legal, and cross functional stakeholders to ensure completion of remediation activities agreed upon during audit projects.
Provide guidance to all departments as to control and process best practices and assist with enhancing and establishing policies, implementation of new systems or applications incorporating responses to audit finding or recommendations.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure regulatory and risk issues are properly identified and managed in new and existing product and services.
Lead trainings internally to increase awareness of internal controls.
Coordinate internal audit work performed by third-party firms.
Collaborate and provide recommendations on the future vision of the internal audit function, which includes considerations of resourcing, internal audit methods, and technology enablement.
Lead coordination with the external audit team in supporting the documentation required for internal controls for the annual audit.
Synthesize complex operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improved governance.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk-based audit plan aligned with enterprise objectives and regulatory expectations.
Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on matters related to internal control integrity and compliance assurance.
Requirements
Demonstrate a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting processes.
Possess robust knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management methodologies, and compliance requirements.
Show ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with leadership at all levels of the organization.
Display sound judgment and the ability to make decisions with limited information.
Have proven experience managing multiple priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and adaptability in a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
Show capability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
