You are invited to join the dynamic Tinder International Growth team based in Seoul, where your design expertise will be pivotal in shaping how our global brand connects with users across diverse cultural landscapes. In this role, you will own the end-to-end design strategy for localized experiences that drive meaningful engagement in the APAC region and other targeted international markets. You will act as the primary design authority, ensuring that cultural nuances are not just considered but are the foundation of every product decision. This position requires a deep commitment to understanding local user behaviors and translating those insights into intuitive, high-performing digital experiences. You will lead cross-functional collaborations, partnering closely with marketing, product, and engineering to execute on ambitious growth initiatives. What you'll do
Take ownership of the complete design lifecycle for localized features, guiding concepts from initial discovery through to polished release and post-launch analysis.
Construct detailed wireframes, intuitive user flows, and polished high-fidelity prototypes that clearly communicate vision and interaction details for mobile interfaces.
Analyze cultural contexts to develop design solutions that respect and align with the specific expectations, norms, and needs of users in international markets.
Partner with Marketing and regional stakeholders to formulate and execute organic growth strategies that are grounded in user-centered design principles.
Establish and maintain scalable design patterns and comprehensive playbooks that codify successful market experiments and learnings for future application.
Leverage quantitative data and qualitative user research to rigorously validate design concepts and continuously iterate on product performance and usability.
Uphold the highest standards of visual quality and design consistency by actively contributing to and enhancing the Tinder design system.
Articulate and defend design rationale effectively to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, ensuring alignment and shared understanding of decisions.
Explore emerging opportunities in user behavior and technology trends, proposing innovative design approaches that address evolving market needs.
Champion accessibility and inclusive design practices to ensure that localized experiences are welcoming and usable for the broadest possible audience.
Coordinate design resources and timelines efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality and attention to detail.
Identify and mitigate potential design risks early in the process, proposing proactive solutions that safeguard the user experience.
Document design decisions and processes thoroughly to support future development, onboarding, and long-term product maintenance.
Serve as a mentor and collaborator, elevating the design capabilities of the team through feedback, knowledge sharing, and best practice advocacy.
Requirements
Bring a minimum of 4 years of professional product design experience, with at least 2 years specifically focused on mobile product design and delivery.
Demonstrate mastery of the 0 to 1 design process, including conducting research, defining information architecture, and crafting interaction design solutions.
Show advanced proficiency in designing for both iOS and Android platforms, including a solid understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design principles.
Exhibit a strong command of core visual design principles such as typography, layout, color theory, and hierarchy to create compelling and effective interfaces.
Prove your ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Confirm that you are able to travel internationally without restriction, supporting the needs of global projects and stakeholder engagements.
Maintain a professional working proficiency in English, ensuring clear communication in written, verbal, and presentation contexts.
Provide evidence of your capability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality design outputs under tight schedules.
Show a documented history of creating user-centered designs that have positively impacted product metrics or user satisfaction.

Demonstrate experience in designing core user journeys, including onboarding flows, profile creation, and Trust and Safety features.

Have hands-on experience using AI tools to enhance design workflows, automate repetitive tasks, or generate innovative solutions.
Practical notes
This is a hybrid position that requires three days of in-office work per week in Seoul.
