What you'll do

• Design intake processes that methodically organize student records and clarify language goals for newly arrived students to ensure a smooth transition.
• Construct sequenced lesson plans that purposefully connect social language with academic tasks, specifically tailored for developing readers at varied proficiency levels.
• Review student work collaboratively with colleagues to identify specific growth areas and adjust instructional strategies in a timely and data-driven manner.
• Ship instructional materials that meet strict timeline expectations while carefully honoring the complex needs of multilingual learners and maintaining quality standards.
• Partner with families using clear, accessible communication strategies to support ongoing student development at home and build strong school-home connections.
• Coordinate with subject specialists and support staff to align language objectives with school-wide initiatives, compliance requirements, and programmatic goals.
• Analyze assessment data regularly to refine lesson pacing, differentiate instruction, and ensure robust access for emerging bilinguals in every academic class.

Requirements

• You hold state teaching certification for this role in Pennsylvania, demonstrating compliance with regional regulatory standards.
• You bring three to five years of classroom experience focused on English language development with diverse student populations.
• You manage lesson planning that aligns precisely with academic language expectations for varied proficiency levels and content areas.
• You navigate complex school systems to uphold policies that protect student privacy, ensure data security, and promote educational fairness.
• You commit to the Mastery mission of providing all students with the academic and personal skills required to succeed after graduation.
• You actively disrupt systemic racism by addressing disparities that limit student choices and advocating for equitable practices daily.
