About the role

Maropost is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team in Mohali, Punjab. In this pivotal role, you will facilitate agile practices within our development teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration. What you'll do

Lead daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members.
Act as a servant leader, removing obstacles that hinder the team's progress and promoting a culture of accountability.
Collaborate with product owners to define and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the team is focused on delivering maximum value.
Facilitate the adoption of agile practices across the organization, providing training and support to teams as needed.
Monitor team performance metrics and provide insights to stakeholders, helping to identify areas for improvement.
Foster a positive team environment by encouraging open communication, trust, and respect among team members.
Work closely with other Scrum Masters to share best practices and align on cross-team initiatives.
Support the continuous improvement of processes and practices by encouraging feedback and implementing changes based on team input.
Assist in the development of project plans and timelines, ensuring that deliverables are met according to schedule.
Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals and expectations, facilitating discussions to resolve any conflicts that may arise.
Maintain a strong understanding of the product and its goals, enabling you to effectively guide the team in their work.
Champion the agile mindset within the organization, advocating for the principles of agility and the benefits of Scrum.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an agile environment.
Strong understanding of Scrum and agile methodologies, with a proven ability to implement these practices effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in coaching teams and individuals on agile principles and practices.
Proficiency in using agile project management tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
A certification in Scrum Master (CSM, PSM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with software development processes and lifecycle, particularly in a technology-driven environment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Nice to have

Experience working in a SaaS (Software as a Service) company or a tech startup.
Knowledge of additional agile frameworks such as Kanban or Lean.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role within a team setting.
Understanding of user experience (UX) principles and how they relate to agile development.
