This Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A position is integral to the Finance team at Mark43, providing data-driven insights that directly guide company strategy and operational planning. You will work closely with executive leadership to manage forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting within a high-growth software environment. What you'll do
In this role, you will serve as a core financial partner to the business, driving analysis and process improvement. Key responsibilities include collaborating with business leaders to analyze performance and inform strategic decisions through quantitative insights. You will create, maintain, and refine financial models designed to improve forecast accuracy and provide greater visibility into financial performance. You will own the management of monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning cycles, ensuring consistency and rigor across all financial outputs. During month-end close, you will partner closely with the Accounting team to investigate variances and clearly explain the underlying financial drivers. You will produce executive-level reports that distill complex data into concise, actionable business insights tailored for senior leadership. Additional responsibilities include optimizing planning processes and automating reporting workflows to minimize manual tasks and increase efficiency. You will assist in the preparation of board materials, leadership presentations, and ad-hoc special finance projects as required. To support cash flow management, you will monitor customer collections as part of cash flow forecasting activities. You will also evaluate the financial impact of potential initiatives and provide recommendations based on rigorous cost-benefit and sensitivity analyses. To support decision-making under uncertainty, you will perform scenario and sensitivity analyses that challenge assumptions and validate outcomes. You will develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators to track financial health and operational efficiency in real time. You will act as a liaison with department heads to gather inputs, ensure alignment on financial plans and targets, and drive accountability for results. Finally, you will conduct in-depth variance analysis to identify trends, outliers, and areas for improvement in financial performance, and maintain thorough documentation for financial models and processes to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Requirements
To be successful in this Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A role at Mark43, you must bring a proven background of 3-5 years of experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or other related analytical roles. You must hold a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a closely related field. Candidates must have the ability to work in the United States without sponsorship. You will need strong financial modeling skills and sound business judgment to guide decisions with data integrity. The role demands the ability to manage multiple priorities and strict deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. A proven track record of delivering accurate financial analysis under pressure is essential. You must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to perform detailed financial statement analysis. Advanced command of Excel and robust data manipulation techniques is required to handle complex financial datasets effectively.
