About the role
You will own the end-to-end sales cycle for Mark43 software within UK police forces and public safety organisations, driving new revenue and strategic partnerships. You will define and own a new market by identifying, engaging, and converting high-value public sector customers in a complex and regulated environment. You will shape how public safety teams operate and serve their communities by positioning modern, cloud-based technology as a critical capability. You will act as the primary Mark43 advocate for customer needs, ensuring product value is clearly articulated and realised throughout the engagement. You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, including operational leaders, executives, and procurement officials. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure proposals, solutions, and implementation efforts align with customer expectations and business goals. What you'll do
Represent Mark43 as the primary point of contact for police forces and public safety organisations, owning the full sales cycle from discovery to close.
Build and progress a robust pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and engaging prospective customers across the UK policing ecosystem.
Lead conversations to uncover operational challenges and define how Mark43 software can deliver measurable value and support mission-critical objectives.
Navigate complex public sector procurement processes, managing requirements, timelines, and compliance with accuracy and persistence.
Partner with Marketing, Customer Success, and Delivery teams to develop tailored proposals, demonstrations, and solution designs that address specific customer needs.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings to build relationships and elevate the Mark43 brand within policing and government circles.
Develop a deep understanding of the UK policing landscape, including funding models, procurement frameworks, and competitive dynamics that shape buying decisions.
Collaborate with UK leadership and internal stakeholders to shape and refine the go-to-market strategy for a developing region.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions, insights, and next steps to ensure continuity and informed decision-making.
Act as an internal champion for the customer, translating feedback into actionable input for product, sales, and delivery teams.
Drive adoption and expansion within existing accounts by identifying new use cases, stakeholders, and opportunities for growth.

Requirements
You must be authorised to work for any employer in the country where the role is based and are not eligible for visa sponsorship.
You bring 8 to 10 years of experience in enterprise SaaS sales, with a strong background in selling to the public sector.
You have a proven track record of closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals and consistently exceeding sales targets.
You are experienced in navigating UK public sector procurement processes, frameworks, and compliance requirements.
You can build credibility and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executive leadership.
You possess strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value clearly and persuasively.
You demonstrate resilience, ownership, and the ability to operate independently in an evolving and fast-paced market.
You are comfortable managing ambiguity, prioritising activities, and maintaining attention to detail across multiple opportunities.
