About the role
This role establishes and maintains the SAP HANA and SAP Basis foundations that enable application and database modernization on AWS. The position ensures non-production environments are stable and observable to support production migrations and cutover planning for SAP estates.
Software engineers turn product ideas into working code. Engineers work in small teams, review each other's work, and ship in small batches. Most teams follow agile practices such as sprints and daily standups. Engineers also write tests, fix bugs, and improve performance. The field values clear communication as much as technical skill. What you'll do
You design, build, and maintain SAP HANA and SAP Basis landscapes used for prototyping migrations and proofing refactors. Production systems and legacy retirements run reliably because these environments remain stable and observable. You automate the landscape and keep it clean so application and database teams can move fast without disruption. You serve as the on-call voice for SAP Basis during customer calls and environment cutovers. You work remote from India aligned with PST hours to participate when US engineering leads make decisions.
