What you'll do

Develop and maintain simulation software that accurately models the flight dynamics and environmental conditions of lunar missions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements and ensure alignment with mission objectives.
Integrate flight software with simulation tools, ensuring seamless operation and data flow between systems.
Conduct thorough testing of simulation environments to validate software performance and identify areas for improvement.
Analyze simulation results to provide insights and recommendations for flight software enhancements.
Document software design, integration processes, and testing protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of software development practices.
Provide technical support and training to team members on simulation tools and software integration techniques.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in simulation technologies, applying best practices to enhance our systems.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on simulation or aerospace applications.
Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, or MATLAB for simulation software development.
Strong understanding of flight dynamics and aerospace systems, particularly in the context of lunar missions.
Experience with software integration processes and tools, including version control systems like Git.
Familiarity with simulation frameworks and tools such as Simulink, STK, or similar platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively to meet project deadlines.

Nice to have

Experience with real-time simulation systems and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Knowledge of space mission planning and operations, particularly in lunar exploration.
Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
