What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain ground software applications that support lunar missions, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, systems engineers, and mission planners, to define software requirements and specifications.
• Implement software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks, focusing on scalability and maintainability.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation of software systems to ensure compliance with mission requirements and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues in a timely manner, providing support during mission operations and post-mission analysis.

• Contribute to the development of software tools and frameworks that streamline mission planning and execution processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in ground software systems for aerospace or similar industries.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java, with experience in software development frameworks and tools.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience with software testing and validation techniques, including unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A passion for space exploration and a commitment to contributing to the success of lunar missions.

Nice to have

• Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development.
