About the role
Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to play a role within the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) department. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of software development and deployment related to ADAS and Autonomous Driving technologies. Your collaboration with various internal teams will be essential in ensuring the integration of software features, ultimately contributing to the timely release of innovative functionalities for Lucid vehicles. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Southfield, Michigan.

What you'll do
- Collaborate with platform and application teams, including those focused on Maps, Motion Planning & Control, and Perception, to create a cohesive software stack that facilitates feature development.
- Set clear software integration milestones, track progress diligently, and proactively address any obstacles that may hinder development timelines.
- Coordinate program activities among various stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and other project managers or technical leads to ensure alignment and efficiency.
- Manage software release timelines for both internal ADAS validation processes and broader system integration checkpoints, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Oversee project tracking, manage deliverables, follow up on action items, document meeting outcomes, and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
- tools such as Jira and Confluence to assign tasks, monitor progress, and disseminate updates to the entire project team.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and operational management of the ADAS/AD department, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the team, encouraging the sharing of ideas and best practices to enhance project outcomes.
- Analyze project data to inform decision-making and improve processes, ensuring that the team remains agile and responsive to changing requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices in technical program management and software development.
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in ADAS technologies.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering field, or equivalent professional experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical program management specifically within ADAS software development, or at least 7 years in the automotive sector with a focus on ADAS features and systems.
- Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams through the launch of ADAS/AD features in production environments.
- Strong ability to navigate ambiguous situations and maintain momentum in project execution.
- Proficient in using project management tools such as Jira and Confluence, along with a solid understanding of project management methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to distill complex or sensitive information into easily understandable formats.
- Ability to quickly grasp intricate issues, facilitate group decision-making, and ensure effective follow-through on action items.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset to support informed decision-making processes.
Nice to have
- Previous experience in project management at an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Tier 1 supplier, particularly in ADAS/AD software development, feature definition, or systems engineering.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to ADAS technologies.
- Experience in Agile methodologies and practices within software development teams.
