About the role
Join the Lucid team at Fashion Island to guide customers through their entire vehicle ownership journey. You will serve as the primary contact for sales, transaction processing, and vehicle delivery in a high-energy retail environment. This role places you at the forefront of the luxury electric vehicle experience, where your expertise will directly shape customer perceptions of the brand. You will act as a trusted advisor, translating complex technological specifications into clear benefits for discerning clients. You will be responsible for building lasting relationships that extend far beyond the initial point of sale. What you'll do
- Assess customer needs through personalized interactions and product demonstrations, identifying specific lifestyle requirements and performance expectations.
- Manage the full sales pipeline from initial contact to final delivery, ensuring a seamless and efficient progression of every deal.
- Facilitate vehicle transactions, including financing and leasing applications, while explaining terms and conditions with complete clarity.
- Educate clients on Lucid technology compared to competitor models, highlighting efficiency, design, and performance differentiators.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including Lucid Financial Services and delivery staff, to resolve issues and confirm accurate scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions within Salesforce, ensuring data integrity supports future marketing and retention efforts.
- Conduct test drives and manage vehicle readiness for clients, confirming that every demonstration vehicle meets strict safety and presentation standards.
- Develop a deep understanding of the local market dynamics in Newport Beach to tailor messaging and inventory discussions effectively.
- Utilize consultative selling techniques to uncover hidden objections and address them before they become barriers to purchase.
- Present financial options and ownership costs in a transparent manner, building trust through complete disclosure and honesty.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor movements to adjust sales pitches and remain competitive in the luxury segment.
- Support marketing initiatives at specific events, representing Lucid Motors with professionalism and brand consistency.
- Perform detailed product walkarounds, highlighting innovative features such as aerodynamics, battery technology, and interior craftsmanship.
- Follow up with prospective buyers to ensure satisfaction and explore opportunities for referrals or additional services.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a commission-based sales environment, demonstrating a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred as an indicator of advanced communication and analytical capabilities.
- Valid driver's license with no suspensions in the past 12 months, ensuring reliable transportation for client meetings and deliveries.
- Ability to obtain state DMV licensing as required to perform job functions related to vehicle test drives and client transportation.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform tasks like bending or reaching during vehicle demonstrations and inventory checks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software, ensuring accurate data entry and efficient management of client information.
- Drivers under 21 must have held a license for at least 3 years and pass internal training to ensure maturity and responsibility behind the wheel.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for the position at this time.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are mandatory for conveying technical information to customers with varying levels of automotive knowledge.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple client interactions, appointments, and documentation simultaneously without error.
- A customer-centric attitude that prioritizes client satisfaction and long-term relationship building over short-term sales metrics.
- Willingness to adhere to the strict dress code and appearance standards representative of the Lucid Motors brand image.

- Retail automotive sales and desking experience, providing a familiarity with the specific processes and terminology of the industry.

Practical notes
Interviews begin in December with start dates in January. Compensation includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, plus a 401k plan.
