Lucid Motors is on the lookout for a dynamic leader to oversee and enhance our collision repair initiatives throughout Europe. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy of our body shop network, ensuring that all repair work adheres to our stringent standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Develop and implement a comprehensive collision repair strategy that aligns with our European brand standards.
- Recruit, manage, and expand a network of third-party body shops to support our collision repair objectives.
- Build and lead a dedicated internal team focused on executing the European collision program effectively.
- Monitor network performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) such as safety metrics, quality assurance, cycle time, key-to-key turnaround, first-time-right rates, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize the distribution of body parts and address operational challenges.
- Perform audits on authorized body shops to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Oversee the deployment of diagnostic tools, specialized equipment, and estimating software, including platforms like DAT and Audatex.
- Foster relationships with stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for the collision repair program.
- Analyze market trends and customer feedback to continuously improve repair processes and customer experiences.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards throughout the repair process.
- Provide training and support to body shop personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge in collision repair techniques.
- Act as a liaison between the company and external partners to ensure a repair experience for customers.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in the automotive sector, with a focus on vehicle painting or collision repair.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Automotive Technology, or a German Master Craftsman qualification is required.
- Proven experience in a managerial capacity, demonstrating leadership and team-building skills.
- A background with premium or electric vehicle manufacturers, such as Porsche, BMW, or Mercedes-Benz, is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Dealer Management Systems (DMS).
- Experience with project management tools such as Smartsheet or Jira is preferred.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills, particularly in German, are a plus.
- A valid Class B driver's license is required.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in the German language would be advantageous.
- Experience in the electric vehicle sector is a plus.
- Familiarity with advanced collision repair technologies and methodologies.
Skills & tools
- Expertise in collision repair operations and network management.
- Proficient in estimating platforms such as DAT and Audatex.
- Knowledge of project management software including Jira and Smartsheet.
- Experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS) and technical auditing processes.
- Strong analytical skills to assess performance metrics and implement improvements.
