LPA invites applications for a Digital Design Specialist to join its Structural Engineering practice in Dallas, Texas. In this position, you will own the full intake-to-shipping cycle for structural projects. You will create solutions with multidisciplinary teams while advancing high-performance, community-focused design. What You'll Do
- Set BIM standards and coordinate the accuracy of documentation for demanding projects.
- Conduct structural model reviews to ensure construction documents meet client and code expectations.
- Generate detailed construction drawings using current CAD and Revit workflows.
- Process construction administration deliverables while maintaining strict alignment with project requirements.
- Guide documentation quality as multidisciplinary teams shape community-focused structural systems.
- Resolve complex design challenges through collaboration with project engineers and leadership.
- Support project managers during critical review phases before final delivery.
- Partner with California and Texas studios to advance sustainable, high-performance building objectives.
Requirements
- Experience: 4-15 years of structural drafting and BIM modeling experience across complete building projects.
- Education: Associate of Science in Computer Drafting and Design (or related field) preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Mastery of CAD and Revit within demanding design environments.
- Collaboration: Ability to work naturally within multidisciplinary teams on California and Texas projects.
- Communication: Clear written and verbal skills to coordinate complex information across stakeholders.
- Focus: Detail orientation that drives high-quality construction documentation and model integrity.
- Work Style: Independent work that produces innovative ideas while respecting firm standards and procedures.

- Preferred skills include experience with structural engineering projects and a focus on sustainable design.
