This Contract Manager role is a dedicated position focused on the administration and execution of contracts that support our operational needs across the Midwest. You will own the full contract lifecycle from first contact to final execution, simplifying complex construction deals while protecting company interests and maintaining client trust. Your work will keep commitments clear and disputes minimal.

What you will do

You will draft commercial contracts and change orders for vendors and subcontractors, ensuring terms reflect project needs and risk considerations. You will review statements of work to confirm scope, pricing, and compliance requirements before execution. You will negotiate terms with clients and partners to align risk and expectations, using clear documentation and structured communication. You will track contract milestones, expirations, and renewal dates within logging systems to maintain visibility and compliance. You will coordinate contract execution through e-signature platforms for timely approvals and organized record-keeping. You will partner with project teams to translate prime contract requirements into effective subcontract flow-downs that preserve obligations and responsibilities. You will maintain clause libraries and templates to support consistent document quality and efficient drafting. You will respond to audit requests and formal notices with organized documentation packages that demonstrate compliance and accuracy. You will monitor vendor performance to verify that obligations are fulfilled as written and address gaps promptly. You will collaborate with legal counsel on high-risk agreements and provide structured inputs for dispute resolution when needed. You will assist in developing and implementing contract-management policies, procedures, and best practices to strengthen our operational discipline.

Requirements

You must hold at least 3 years of contract management experience in construction or related fields, with a demonstrated understanding of contract lifecycle responsibilities. You must read, interpret, and draft commercial agreements with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You must communicate professionally with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to maintain trust and clarity. You must work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, United States for the stated employment period and be available to perform the essential functions of this role on-site as required. You must handle contract compliance, documentation accuracy, and risk mitigation on a daily basis, applying sound judgment to protect company interests. You must manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating organization and reliability.
