Lmrtechnical Group is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to join our team in Altus, Oklahoma. What you'll do
- Design and implement individualized strength and conditioning programs for athletes of various skill levels, ensuring alignment with their specific goals and needs.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of athletes' physical capabilities, including strength, flexibility, endurance, and overall fitness levels.
- Monitor and evaluate athletes' progress through regular testing and assessments, adjusting training programs as needed to optimize performance.
- Provide guidance on proper exercise techniques and injury prevention strategies to ensure the safety and effectiveness of training sessions.
- Collaborate with coaches, sports medicine professionals, and other stakeholders to create a holistic approach to athlete development.
- Educate athletes on nutrition, recovery strategies, and lifestyle choices that support their training and performance goals.
- Lead group training sessions, workshops, and seminars to promote strength and conditioning principles within the athletic community.
- Stay current with industry trends, research, and best practices in strength and conditioning to continuously enhance training methodologies.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, assessments, and athlete progress to inform future programming and interventions.
- Foster a positive and motivating training environment that encourages athletes to push their limits and achieve their personal best.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through certifications, workshops, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.
- Participate in community outreach programs to promote health and fitness initiatives, representing Lmrtechnical Group in various events and activities.
Requirements
- A valid certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist from a recognized organization (e.g., NSCA, CSCS).
- A bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience working in a strength and conditioning role, preferably with athletes across various sports.
- Strong understanding of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and nutrition principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with athletes, coaches, and other professionals.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective training programs tailored to individual athlete needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple athletes and training programs simultaneously.
- Familiarity with injury prevention and rehabilitation protocols, as well as experience working with sports medicine professionals.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate athletes' training schedules.
Nice to have
- Advanced certifications in specialized areas such as Olympic weightlifting, sport-specific training, or rehabilitation.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including youth athletes, collegiate athletes, and recreational fitness enthusiasts.
- Knowledge of sports technology and performance tracking tools to enhance training effectiveness.
- Previous experience in a coaching or mentoring role, demonstrating leadership and motivational skills.
Skills & tools
- Proficiency in using strength and conditioning software and tools for program design and athlete monitoring.
- Strong analytical skills to assess athlete performance data and make informed decisions regarding training adjustments.
- Familiarity with various training modalities, including resistance training, plyometrics, and agility drills.
- Competence in using fitness assessment equipment and technology to evaluate athlete performance.
