Backend developer
Job description
Backend developer at Lingaro Group.
About the role
The role owner designs and maintains cloud-native backend systems that power Lingaro Group's data platform on Google Cloud. This position requires deep accountability for service reliability, security, and performance in production environments. The successful hire will own the full lifecycle of backend features, from initial design and implementation through monitoring and iterative improvement. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to translate business needs into robust technical specifications and code. This position demands comfort with ambiguity and the ability to drive projects forward with minimal supervision. The hire will act as a key technical contributor while mentoring less experienced team members on best practices. You will be responsible for ensuring that all solutions align with cloud cost efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence. Continuous learning and adaptation to new technologies within the GCP ecosystem are essential aspects of this role.
Key facts
What you'll do
Architect and deploy scalable backend services on Google Cloud Platform using Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and GCS Buckets.
Implement resilient networking configurations and integrate Google Cloud Redis MemoryStore for caching and session management.
Design and maintain PostgreSQL databases, optimizing queries, indexing strategies, and backup procedures for high reliability.
Containerize applications with Docker and define infrastructure as code to support consistent deployments across environments.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate testing, linting, and deployment workflows.
