Solutions Architect
Job description
Solutions Architect at Lilt Corporate.
About the role
LILT is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to act as the primary technical bridge between our core engineering teams and our strategic enterprise clients. You will manage technical onboarding, design custom integrations, and provide on-site guidance to ensure our AI-powered translation platform meets complex business requirements. In this capacity, you will translate high-level business objectives into concrete technical workflows, ensuring seamless alignment between client vision and platform capabilities. You will serve as the trusted advisor who de-risks deployment by identifying potential integration hurdles before they impact the client timeline. Your day-to-day will involve deep collaboration with product managers and engineers to shape the future roadmap based on real-world client usage. You will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the technical implementation from initial kickoff through long-term operations. Ultimately, you will ensure that LILT's AI translation platform is perceived as a strategic asset rather than just a software tool.
Key facts
What you'll do
- Architect and oversee the technical onboarding journey for enterprise clients, focusing on API configuration, data mapping, and workflow optimization specific to their operational model.
- Collaborate with Sales and Product teams to design and deploy tailored solution blueprints that directly address stated client business goals and regulatory constraints.
- Conduct on-site requirements gathering sessions and execute initial implementation through direct coding and configuration of the platform.
- Deliver on-site training programs and technical support workshops to empower client teams and drive high platform adoption rates.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical incidents, performing in-depth diagnostics and implementing robust fixes with minimal disruption.
- Advise clients on industry best practices for integrating LILT features into their existing enterprise environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Synthesize and channel detailed client feedback, technical requirements, and enhancement proposals back to internal Engineering and Product teams.
- Author and maintain high-quality technical artifacts, including integration guides, API documentation, and troubleshooting manuals for internal and external use.
- Travel to client sites globally for up to 25-35 percent of your time, requiring adaptability to different time zones and operational contexts.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to deployment pipelines, ensuring that updates and new features roll out smoothly in production environments.
- Partner with security and compliance stakeholders to validate that technical implementations adhere to enterprise data protection standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert during discovery calls, scoping exercises, and proof-of-concept initiatives for prospective clients.
- Monitor post-deployment performance metrics and advocate for optimizations that enhance reliability, speed, and user satisfaction.
- Mentor junior team members and interns on enterprise integration techniques and client communication best practices.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline that provides a foundational understanding of system design.
- Bring a minimum of 5 years of cumulative experience in customer-facing technical roles such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or Support Engineer.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of Large Language Model training processes and inference mechanics, including data pipelines and tokenization.
- Apply knowledge of batch learning, online learning paradigms, and context window management to devise strategies that improve measurable customer value.
- Evaluate trade-offs rigorously regarding inference speed, model size, learning methodologies, and total cost of ownership for client scenarios.
- Stay current with the landscape of AI tools, understanding both adoption processes and the technical requirements for enterprise deployment.
- Show documented experience using the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to design and build agentic workflows that automate complex tasks.
- Exhibit business acumen by aligning technical solutions with client growth targets, efficiency metrics, and long-term operational objectives.
- Leverage extensive experience with software integration principles and industry-standard APIs, specifically RESTful architectures and SOAP services.
- Write clean, maintainable code and configuration scripts in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python or JavaScript.
- Lead the management of enterprise software deployments, handling configuration, version control, and environment-specific adaptations.
- Communicate complex technical concepts with clarity and empathy to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and decision-makers.
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail to ensure that technical deliverables are accurate, consistent, and fully documented.
- Thrive in a dynamic, matrixed organization where priorities shift rapidly and problem-solving is iterative.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with translation management systems (TMS) or deep familiarity with localization workflows and terminology management.
- Practical familiarity with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, particularly regarding deployment and scaling services.
- Professional fluency in multiple spoken and written languages, enabling more nuanced communication with international client teams.
