About the role
Life360 is looking for a Director of Product, Subscriber Value to lead product strategy focused on growing and retaining subscriber revenue across the platform. This role owns the full lifecycle of subscriber-facing features and monetization within the Life360 app ecosystem, from initial concept through launch and iteration. The Director will partner with engineering, design, and data science teams to define and execute on product initiatives that increase subscriber conversion and lifetime value over time. Reporting to senior leadership, this position shapes the roadmap for all subscriber-related product decisions across the company and drives measurable outcomes tied to revenue growth.

What you'll do
Own the product roadmap for subscriber value growth and retention features across the Life360 platform. Define and prioritize initiatives that increase subscriber conversion rates and reduce churn among paying users. Collaborate with engineering managers to scope and deliver subscriber-facing product improvements on time and within budget. Work closely with data science teams to analyze subscriber behavior patterns and identify actionable product opportunities. Lead cross-functional planning sessions that align product, design, and engineering on quarterly subscriber goals and milestones. Present product strategy and progress updates to senior leadership and executive stakeholders on a regular cadence. Manage a team of product managers who own specific areas of the subscriber value funnel and growth. Conduct user research and market analysis to inform subscriber product decisions and competitive positioning strategies. Establish clear success metrics and KPIs for all subscriber value initiatives and track them over time. Partner with marketing and growth teams to ensure subscriber product features support acquisition and upsell efforts. Drive experimentation and testing programs to validate product hypotheses and optimize subscriber engagement and retention. Translate business objectives into detailed product requirements and ensure alignment across all cross-functional partners.
Requirements
Seven or more years of product management experience with at least three years in a leadership role. Proven track record of building and executing product strategies that directly impact subscriber revenue and retention. Strong experience working with subscription or membership-based business models in consumer technology companies specifically. Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team of product managers across multiple product areas effectively. Deep understanding of subscriber analytics, cohort analysis, and monetization metrics such as ARPU and LTV calculations. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization confidently. Experience partnering with engineering and design teams to ship complex product features in fast-paced environments consistently. Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience and training. Track record of using data to inform product decisions and communicate findings clearly to non-technical audiences. Familiarity with family safety or location-based services products is a strong plus for this role specifically.
Nice to have
Experience with family safety or connected device products and a genuine understanding of that user base. Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks and experimentation culture within product organizations and teams. Background in working with mobile app ecosystems and app store subscription models and pricing. Prior experience managing product teams that span multiple geographic regions or time zones effectively. Knowledge of privacy regulations and data handling practices relevant to consumer location and safety products.
Skills & tools
Proficiency in product management tools such as Jira, Aha, or similar roadmap and prioritization platforms. Experience with analytics platforms like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Google Analytics for subscriber behavior tracking. Familiarity with SQL and data querying to independently pull and analyze subscriber metrics and reports. Strong understanding of subscription pricing models, packaging strategies, and revenue optimization techniques and frameworks. Ability to create clear product requirements documents and user stories for engineering teams and partners. Comfort with presenting data-driven insights and product recommendations to executive leadership and cross-functional teams. Experience with version control systems and agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban workflows. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools used to support subscriber lifecycle and engagement campaigns.
Practical notes
a fully remote position open to candidates based in the United States or Canada. The role may require occasional travel to company offices or industry events as needed throughout the year. Life360 operates on a flexible schedule with core collaboration hours that align across multiple time zones. Candidates should expect to work closely with a distributed team across North America on a daily basis.
