Employee Safety Program Specialist

About the role

You will lead organization-wide employee safety initiatives across multiple Life Link III locations while ensuring strict compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local safety regulations. You will conduct comprehensive workplace safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards before they result in incidents. The role requires you to investigate workplace incidents and near misses using root cause analysis to drive meaningful and sustainable improvements. You will develop and deliver engaging safety education and training programs that promote awareness and accountability across the organization. A core part of this position is overseeing emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response readiness to protect employees and patients. You will manage Personal Protective Equipment programs and perform thorough workplace hazard assessments to maintain a safe operational environment. Additionally, you will recruit, mentor, and support Base Safety Representatives throughout the organization to strengthen local safety advocacy. You will monitor key safety metrics and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership for continuous improvement. You will partner with organizational leaders to foster a proactive, organization-wide culture of safety that aligns with Life Link III values. Your work will directly support the mission of providing the highest level of care while maintaining a safe and thriving workplace for all employees.
