What you'll do

• Assume command responsibility for the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft throughout all phases of flight.
• Execute precise aircraft handling and navigation in diverse weather and terrain conditions during critical care transports.
• Collaborate in real time with flight crew, dispatch, and external partners to coordinate mission objectives and resolve operational challenges.
• Interpret and apply federal regulations, company manuals, and standard operating procedures to maintain full compliance.
• Manage and verify accurate completion of all flight documentation, ensuring records are thorough, timely, and traceable.
• Oversee safe aircraft loading procedures, coordinate refueling operations, and confirm that weight and balance remain within approved limits.
• Utilize Crew Resource Management principles to foster clear communication, task delegation, and mutual support among crew members.
• Actively engage with the Life Link III Safety Management System to report hazards, analyze incidents, and promote continuous improvement.
• Maintain current awareness of all pertinent flight information, including NOTAMs, TFRs, and evolving weather systems.
• Function as a cohesive unit member to accomplish all Life Link III mission profiles, including interfacility and emergency patient transfers.
• Preserve and demonstrate required qualifications as mandated by federal regulations and organizational standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and actively support the growth and training of fellow team members.

Requirements

• Hold a current Commercial Pilot Certificate with an Instrument Rating applicable to the category and class of aircraft assigned.
• Possess a valid FAA Class I or Class II Medical Certificate as required for operations.
• Accumulate a minimum of 2000 total flight hours, meeting CAMTS equivalency standards where applicable.
• Document at least 1500 hours of helicopter flight time across applicable rotorcraft platforms.
• Log a minimum of 1000 hours as Pilot in Command within the specific aircraft category.
• Complete a minimum of 500 hours on turbine-powered rotorcraft.
• Accumulate at least 200 hours of cross-country flight time under varying conditions.
• Accept up to 50 hours of unaided night time, provided a minimum of 100 aided night hours are documented.
• Complete a minimum of 50 hours of instrument flight time in the category, excluding simulator time; dual fixed-wing time may substitute at a rate of 100 actual hours reducing this requirement to 25 hours.
• Demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all stakeholders in high-pressure healthcare and aviation environments.

Nice to have

• Prior experience conducting Helicopter High Altitude Operations (HAA).
• Background as a Part 121 or Part 135 Instructor or Check Pilot.
• Current commercial rating in both fixed wing and rotor wing categories.
• Possession of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate.
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in aviation, healthcare, or a related field.
