Lendable is on a mission to build the world's best technology to help people get credit and save money. We're building one of the world's leading fintech companies and are off to a strong start as one of the UK's newest unicorns with a team of just over 700 people. You will join a profitable company that has been making money since 2017 and is backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs. You will own the end-to-end strategy and execution for our onboarding journey, directly influencing conversion across web and app flows in the UK Loans business. Key facts
What you'll do
Own and drive the strategy, execution, and growth of our origination funnel with a strong focus on direct lending and conversion optimization.
Define the product roadmap and partner with an industry-leading Engineering team to deliver high-impact features end-to-end.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineering, Credit, Data Science, Finance, and Operations to align priorities and remove blockers.
Champion data-driven decision-making by designing hypothesis-driven tests, analyzing outcomes, and iterating quickly based on measurable learnings.
Use AI tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex to build internal tools, automate manual processes, and accelerate decision-making.
Navigate the evolving fintech landscape, balancing innovation with compliance, risk management, and regulatory expectations.
Partner with design teams to ensure customer needs remain central to every product decision across the lending journey.
Work with third-party integrations and vendors to ensure our products remain best-in-market for the businesses we serve.
Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable tasks that engineering teams can execute against efficiently.
Act as the day-to-day owner of your product line, running standups, planning sessions, and prioritizing work for maximum impact.
Break down intricate business problems into manageable chunks and drive solutions from discovery through delivery.
Leverage numerical analysis skills using Python or SQL to explore data, identify patterns, and convert insights into actions.
Move at speed, embrace responsibility for implementation and design decisions, and perform well under pressure in a high-growth environment.
Communicate clearly and adapt your style for different audiences, from engineers to business leaders, while remaining open to challenging and changing your mind with new evidence.
Requirements
You must have 2+ years of work experience as a Product Manager or in a similar role, demonstrating consistent delivery of results.
You possess a bias for action, moving fast, getting things done, and iterating quickly based on real feedback from users and stakeholders.
You are data proficient, comfortable using Python or SQL to query data, run your own analysis, and base decisions on evidence.
You are familiar with AI tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex and have used them to enhance your productivity or product workflows.
You have experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment, which is preferred but not mandatory for this role.
You have experience working on mobile app products, which is desirable but not a strict requirement for contributing effectively here.
You can operate autonomously, managing a product line end-to-end and taking accountability for customer outcomes and delivery success.
You excel at problem-solving, breaking down complex business challenges into smaller, actionable tasks that teams can tackle efficiently.
Nice to have
Experience working in highly regulated financial services environments is preferred but not required.
A background in building or launching consumer lending, credit, or financial inclusion products is advantageous.
Familiarity with compliance, risk, and fraud constraints in lending products is seen as a positive trait for this position.
Experience with machine learning applications in product workflows or fraud detection is desirable but not essential.
