About the role
You operate at the intersection of service, technology, and product development. In this position, you ensure that our innovative robotic systems continue to function reliably in real-world settings while steadily improving. You work on products that are still in development. This means you resolve complex failures and also contribute structurally to improvements. You identify opportunities and ensure that these insights lead to tangible changes within the development team.
Key facts
What you'll do
Analyzing intricate faults and resolving them independently without standard guides.
Detecting recurring faults and converting them into structural development improvements.
Guiding Product Development with practical insights and field feedback.
Running field tests and integrating new components and adjustments into operations.
Guaranteeing 24-hour service and continuity for robotic systems operating in the field.
Documenting faults, solutions, and customer feedback to preserve and share knowledge.
Testing prototypes on regional farms while coordinating daily with dairy farmers and Maassluis colleagues.
Taking initiative within evolving systems to create impact because you own your expertise.
Using a driver's license while living in the Rotterdam or West-Brabant region to reach test sites.
Engaging with the Lely Academy to explore development opportunities through structured training.
Requirements
You must possess at least 3-5 years of experience in technical service or field engineering roles.
You combine strong technical understanding with a practical, enterprising mindset under pressure.
You show ownership by initiating actions for your systems and customers.
You communicate clearly and convey field feedback effectively to the team.
You have experience with support services and flexibility in scheduling including nights and weekends.
