Key facts
What you'll do
- Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles to transport equipment and materials to various job sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant driving regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of drainage systems, identifying blockages, leaks, and other issues that require attention.
- Utilize specialized drainage equipment, including jetting machines and vacuum tankers, to clear blockages and maintain drainage systems effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute drainage projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including details of inspections, repairs, and materials used, for reporting and compliance purposes.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing updates on project progress.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in drainage engineering and related fields.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.
- Respond to emergency call-outs as required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to meeting client needs.
- Work collaboratively with other departments within the company to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in drainage engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of drainage systems and maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the drainage industry.
- Ability to operate drainage equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive approach to work, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time.
- Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
- Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
