What you'll do

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles to transport equipment and materials to various job sites, ensuring compliance with all relevant driving regulations.
• Conduct thorough inspections of drainage systems, identifying blockages, leaks, and other issues that require attention.
• Utilize specialized drainage equipment, including jetting machines and vacuum tankers, to clear blockages and maintain drainage systems effectively.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute drainage projects, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including details of inspections, repairs, and materials used, for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients, addressing their concerns, and providing updates on project progress.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in drainage engineering and related fields.
• Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and ready for use.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 driving license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in drainage engineering or a related field, with a strong understanding of drainage systems and maintenance practices.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the drainage industry.
• Ability to operate drainage equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
• A proactive approach to work, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results on time.
• Flexibility to work outside of regular hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and carrying heavy equipment.
