QA Engineer

About the role

You will partner with project managers and clients to translate business requirements into rigorous test strategies that validate digital products before release. You will design and execute detailed test cases across a matrix of devices, operating systems, and browsers to ensure quality gates are met. You will own the documentation of test scenarios and results, creating clear artifacts that guide development teams toward resolution. You will verify defect fixes and perform regression checks to confirm that solutions do not introduce new issues. You will actively contribute to process improvements that elevate the standards of testing within the engineering organization. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks early and support timely project delivery. What you'll do

Perform regular quality checks and user acceptance tests for several projects on the supported devices, operating systems and browsers.

Document the issues to provide details for the development team for debugging.

Assist the development team and management with other project-related tasks.

Verify bug fixes once an issue has been resolved.

Review the supported devices and browsers for the platform in order to maintain consistency.

Explore the product landscape to uncover potential edge cases that standard test plans might overlook.

Coordinate with project managers to align testing schedules with critical milestones and release windows.

Analyze test results to identify patterns and escalate issues that impact product stability.

Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and reported defects.

Contribute to the creation and refinement of testing standards and best practices across the team.

Support the integration of new tools that improve the efficiency of quality assurance workflows.

Validate that features meet acceptance criteria before they are deployed to production environments.

Provide clear status updates and reports to stakeholders regarding testing progress and risk exposure.

Promote a quality-first culture by mentoring peers and encouraging disciplined testing habits.

Requirements

Hold a degree such as B.Tech Computer Application, B.Tech Computer Science, BE, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Bachelor's of Technology, or Computer Science and Engineering.

Demonstrate testing knowledge or related experience that covers functional and regression scenarios.

Show proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and tracking activities.

Have hands-on experience with project collaboration and bug tracking tools such as JIRA.

Possess knowledge of Windows, OS X, iOS and Android operating systems.

Be comfortable using various tablets and cellular devices during testing activities.

Exhibit close attention to details to ensure test coverage is thorough and accurate.

Consider a technical degree or background as an asset for understanding product architecture.

Communicate effectively in English with clarity and precision in both written and verbal exchanges.
