About the role
In this pivotal position, you will be at the helm of the Finance Technology Systems team within the Global Technology Solutions division. Your primary responsibility will be to craft and implement a strategic vision for the financial application ecosystem. This role is crucial in ensuring that our systems are optimized for a public, AI-driven SaaS landscape, while also fostering collaboration with leadership across Finance, Accounting, and Treasury.

What you'll do
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive multi-year strategy for the finance technology stack, encompassing essential processes such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, revenue management, billing, and record-to-report.
- Convert the objectives set by Finance, Accounting, Tax, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) into prioritized system investments and automation projects.
- Spearhead the integration of artificial intelligence into fundamental financial workflows, collaborating closely with data platform teams to enhance productivity while adhering to the standards expected of a public company.
- Work alongside business systems analysts, application owners, and integration specialists to design and implement functional enhancements to existing systems.
- Act as the main technical liaison for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Controller, translating business needs into product decisions and architectural considerations.
- Ensure that ERP and finance applications are configured to facilitate scalable billing processes, accurate financial closures, and dependable data flows.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation within the finance technology landscape.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by regularly assessing system performance and user feedback to inform future enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between finance technology initiatives and broader organizational goals.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing within the Finance Technology Systems team.
- Prepare and present strategic updates to senior leadership, ensuring transparency and alignment on key initiatives and progress.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise or business systems, with a strong focus on managing finance technology in a technology or SaaS environment.
- At least 4 years of experience in product design, specifically in areas such as order-to-cash, record-to-report, procure-to-pay, revenue/billing, and financial close systems.
- Demonstrated experience with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) IT General Controls (ITGC) and a successful track record of working with both internal and external auditors.
- A thorough understanding of enterprise-led growth strategies and the system requirements necessary to support scaling operations.
- Expertise in ERP and finance application architecture, including knowledge of integration patterns and data flow management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements specific to public companies.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in finance, such as blockchain or advanced analytics.
- Previous experience in a public company setting, particularly during a growth phase.
- Proficiency in additional finance applications or tools beyond the primary stack.
Skills & tools
- Proficient in ERP and finance applications such as NetSuite, Oracle, Coupa, Avalara, Zip, and Zuora, or similar platforms.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in Agile methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
