About the role

Kiddom is transforming K-12 education by bringing high-quality curriculum, instructional tools, and student analytics together in one coherent system. We are building Learning Intelligence Technology (LIT), a new category that gives educators the infrastructure to plan, teach, assess, and respond to student needs. With Kiddom, educators spend less time managing administrative burden and more time delivering meaningful student instruction. The Senior Product Manager, AI will set the vision for how artificial intelligence reshapes teaching and learning, owning the strategy that turns emerging model capabilities into measurable classroom outcomes. You will translate complex AI/ML research into intuitive, teacher-facing and student-facing experiences that drive adoption, engagement, and improved learning results. This role requires fluency at the intersection of product, pedagogy, and technology, and you will be accountable for ensuring every AI feature is responsible, transparent, and aligned with educator needs. You will define the roadmap for AI at Kiddom while collaborating across research, engineering, and design to deliver intelligent features that feel native to the teaching workflow.

What you'll do

Define the end-to-end vision for AI at Kiddom, determining how personalization, insights, and automation create measurable impact across classrooms and institutions.

Partner with AI researchers, engineers, and designers to conceive, launch, and iterate on intelligent features such as recommendations, tutoring assistants, and predictive insights for educators and learners.

Translate the latest advances in AI/ML into scalable product solutions, turning experimental models into reliable, teacher- and student-facing experiences that drive meaningful adoption.

Lead experimentation and discovery by designing pilots, testing new models in live classrooms, and analyzing results to refine product direction quickly.

Embed responsibility, safety, and equity into AI features by establishing guardrails, monitoring behavior, and advocating for fairness and transparency in every release.

Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders by explaining complex AI/ML concepts and aligning researchers, engineers, GTM teams, and curriculum experts around shared outcomes.

Champion outcomes over outputs, ensuring AI capabilities save teachers time, accelerate student progress, and improve institutional decision-making through actionable insights.

Own key metrics for AI features, defining success criteria, setting targets, and using data to prioritize investments that deliver the strongest educational and business value.

Collaborate with curriculum and instructional teams to ensure AI recommendations and automation respect pedagogical principles and support diverse learners.

Evolve the AI product architecture by identifying integration points, managing model lifecycles, and ensuring that APIs and data flows support reliable, secure experiences.

Work closely with design to build user experiences that make AI feel like a natural extension of familiar tools, reducing cognitive load and increasing teacher confidence.

Define and refine requirements for AI-powered features, balancing innovation with practical constraints such as performance, privacy, and classroom realities.

Communicate product rationale and roadmaps clearly to cross-functional audiences, building trust and maintaining alignment as strategies adapt based on research and user feedback.

Represent Kiddom's AI vision externally through narratives and internal updates, positioning the product as a leader in responsible, learning-centered intelligent systems.

Requirements

5+ years of product management experience, with significant work building or integrating AI/ML-powered products in a SaaS context.

Proven success leading SaaS products at scale, with a track record of managing features that rely on AI capabilities embedded in core workflows.

Startup and growth experience, thriving in fast-moving environments where priorities shift and individual ownership is essential to delivering results.

Strong understanding of AI/ML systems, including model lifecycles, APIs, and responsible AI practices such as fairness, transparency, and safety considerations.

Ability to balance the speed of innovation with ethical and educational responsibility, ensuring that AI features support student outcomes and educator trust.

Exceptional influence and communication skills, capable of simplifying complex AI concepts to inspire and align technical and non-technical audiences.

Background in education, ed-tech, NLP, or adaptive learning is a plus but not required for this role.

Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Education, or a related field is required; an MBA or Master's degree in a relevant discipline is preferred.

Nice to have

Experience working directly with educators and students in real classroom settings to validate product assumptions.

Familiarity with instructional design frameworks and how AI can support personalized learning pathways.

Knowledge of data privacy and compliance considerations specific to education, including FERPA and similar regulations.

Experience contributing to open source AI projects or publishing work in relevant technical domains.

This is a full-time position based in San Francisco.
