What you'll do

Set daily safety priorities for crews as projects progress from intake through completion. Guard workflows by monitoring construction management reviews and design procedures across all build phases. Measure safety performance using metrics from self-performed tasks and subcontractor tracking systems. Support analysis efforts for Mullins Safety Assessments, site plans, and public hazard reviews. Inspect sites actively and coordinate corrective actions with employees and contractors. Investigate incidents by reviewing procedures to ensure thorough follow-through. Orient crews on site-specific details for multi-lingual environments with clear communication. Attend coordination meetings to understand job phase risks and emerging hazards. Oversee safety administration and field coordination simultaneously across multiple duties. Confirm alignment with partners so standards remain consistent before handing over responsibilities.

Requirements

You must hold a current OSHA 30 Construction certification and valid First Aid/CPR credentials. You need three to five years of experience coordinating construction safety, including work on large industrial projects valued at ten million dollars or more. You must be willing to accept assignments at project locations, with travel or relocation as needed. You should demonstrate strong computer skills using Revu, Adobe, Word, and Excel on a regular basis. You need excellent soft skills for working with executive owners and clients under high stress conditions.

Nice to have

Certification in OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 Instructor, along with familiarity with ProCore, are preferred qualifications.

This role is responsible for owning the full safety lifecycle on demanding engagements, ensuring that every activity is planned, communicated, and executed with precision. You will translate complex safety procedures into clear, actionable steps for crews working in fast-paced environments. Daily, you will monitor the site to confirm that protective systems are in place and that workers understand their responsibilities. You will coordinate closely with project managers, supervisors, and tradespeople to embed safety into each task rather than treating it as a separate activity. The position requires a strong understanding of construction safety regulations, site-specific hazard identification, and the ability to adapt controls as conditions change. You will review plans, permits, and method statements to verify that they meet both company standards and regulatory requirements. When issues arise, you will escalate concerns promptly, recommend corrective actions, and track resolution to closure. You will also support new crew orientations, providing consistent messaging about safe work practices and expectations. This includes explaining personal protective equipment requirements, tool safety, and emergency procedures in a way that is understood by all team members. You will manage incident reporting, ensuring that all events are investigated thoroughly and that lessons learned are shared across the organization.

Because this role operates at the intersection of field work and administration, you must be comfortable moving between paperwork and active site observation. You will complete safety checklists, update dashboards, and prepare reports that communicate performance to leadership. You will verify that subcontractors maintain valid certifications, training records, and insurance documentation as required. You will also coordinate with human resources and procurement teams to ensure that staffing and equipment align with safety expectations. This role is based in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area, and assignments may require presence at project sites as scheduled. You should be prepared to work on varied schedules, including early starts or extended days when project milestones demand additional oversight. The position requires reliable transportation and the physical ability to conduct site inspections, including walking surfaces and using access equipment when appropriate. You must be capable of lifting moderate loads, such as safety kits and documentation folders, during routine inspections.

Candidates must hold a current OSHA 30 Construction certification to demonstrate knowledge of industry-specific safety standards. You must also maintain valid First Aid and CPR credentials to respond effectively in emergency situations. A minimum of three years and up to five years of experience coordinating safety on construction projects is required. This experience should include work on large industrial initiatives with values at or above ten million dollars. You must be authorized to work in the United States and accept assignments at project locations, including travel or relocation when necessary. Consistent use of standard office software is expected, including Revu for markups, Adobe for document handling, Word for reports, and Excel for data tracking. Strong interpersonal abilities are essential, particularly when interacting with executive owners, clients, and regulatory representatives under pressure.
