This position is based in Dallas, Texas, and is available through direct application only. The annual salary is fixed at 70,000.00 USD. In this capacity, you will serve as a key partner in the employee lifecycle, responsible for end to end processes from initial request to ongoing partner management. Your work will establish the foundation for organizational stability and clarity on a daily basis.

Core Responsibilities

You will design and own the full intake journey, creating structures that capture precise requests and guide colleagues through clear, efficient pathways. This involves building HR frameworks and tools that align teams, clarify roles, and support scalable growth as the organization evolves. You will analyze turnover patterns and engagement signals, transforming these insights into practical policy adjustments and cultural improvements.

Ensuring consistent execution is central to this role. You will coordinate reviews to uphold standards and meet regulatory expectations without exception. Solutions you ship must integrate compliance, payroll, and operations into workflows that are intuitive and effective for employees. You will partner with leadership to convert business demands into concrete people strategies and measurable outcomes.

Maintaining accurate documentation and system records is essential to reflect current practices and support future audits. You will champion safety, inclusion, and professional standards in every program and interaction, ensuring these values are present in daily operations.

Required Qualifications

Success in this role requires five or more years of experience in HR generalist positions, including exposure to complex employee situations. You must have a thorough understanding of ADA, FMLA, FLSA, I-9, EEO, COBRA, USERRA, and workers' compensation regulations. The ability to read metrics and forecast headcount needs is essential, as you will use data to guide decision making and identify trends.

You will manage HRIS platforms and digital processes to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy. Clear communication of policies to diverse audiences is required, always balancing clarity with fairness and consistency.

About the company

Kelso Industries builds scientific research vessels for government marine operations. The company name honors the late Dr John Kelso, a scientist with the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. This background is reflected in the design of vessels built to support fisheries research and water quality work. The lead vessel is a "Near Shore Fisheries Research Vessel" used for trawls, box core sampling, bottom sampling, and water quality sampling. It was commissioned in 2009 and built by ABCO Industries Lunenburg Shipyard. The vessel was ordered by the Canadian Coast Guard to replace the retiring CCGS Shark and operates from CGS Base Burlington in the Central and Arctic Region. The ship has a maximum speed near 16 knots and a cruising speed near 14 knots. Fuel capacity is about 2,848 litres, with additional water storage of 500 litres. Accommodation includes seating for ten passengers and a crew of three. This configuration supports day trips and focused research campaigns in coastal and nearshore waters.
