What you'll do
- Lead and manage the design-build process from initial concept through to project completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address any issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Facilitate effective communication between clients, team members, and external partners to maintain transparency and foster strong working relationships.
- Prepare and present project proposals, including scope, timelines, and cost estimates, to clients and stakeholders.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and services, negotiating contracts and ensuring that all resources are available as needed.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports, ensuring all records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure Kciconstruction remains competitive and compliant.
- Implement and maintain project management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance team collaboration.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on design-build projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or similar applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing project requirements and timelines.
