What you'll do

• Greet and warmly assist customers visiting the JYSK Sundsvall store during their shopping visits each day
• Help customers find suitable home furnishing products and answer questions about available items and their features
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-organized sales floor area for the comfort and safety of all shoppers
• Restock shelves and display areas with products from the warehouse or incoming delivery shipments each day
• Operate the cash register and handle customer payments accurately while following established store procedures at the end of each shift
• Support fellow store team members with daily tasks such as arranging merchandise and setting up attractive product displays
• Provide clear and helpful information about current promotions, product features, and store policies to visiting customers
• Ensure product availability on the sales floor by checking inventory levels and reporting any shortages to management
• Participate in store opening and closing routines as scheduled by the store management team each day
• Build lasting and friendly relationships with regular customers to encourage return visits and long-term customer satisfaction
• Assist with visual merchandising and product arrangement to keep displays current and appealing throughout the store
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily sales targets and contribute to the overall performance of the Sundsvall store

Requirements

• Availability to work part-time hours at 50 percent of a full-time schedule at the JYSK Sundsvall location
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in Swedish and English for daily customer interactions in the store
• Willingness to work in a retail environment that requires standing and walking throughout each working shift
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuinely customer-focused attitude toward all store visitors and fellow team members
• Basic computer skills for operating point-of-sale systems and store communication tools used in daily operations
• Flexibility to work varying shift schedules including weekends and public holidays as retail business demands
• Ability to lift and move products and merchandise of varying weight as needed during daily store tasks
• A positive, dependable, and consistent work ethic with reliable attendance at all scheduled shifts without exception
• Comfort with working in a fast-paced retail setting where priorities may shift throughout the day
• A genuine interest in home furnishing and helping customers find the right products for their living spaces

Nice to have

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service roles in a physical store environment is valued
• Knowledge of home furnishing products, interior design trends, or home accessories and décor items

• Additional language skills beyond Swedish and English that can help serve a diverse customer base
