The J Street U GOTV Fellowship offers an for individuals to engage in grassroots organizing and mobilization efforts within the Jewish community. What you'll do

• Collaborate with J Street U chapters to develop and implement effective Get Out The Vote (GOTV) strategies tailored to local communities.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions for students on voter registration, election processes, and advocacy techniques.
• Conduct outreach to engage students and community members, encouraging participation in local and national elections.
• Create and distribute educational materials that inform peers about the importance of voting and civic engagement.
• Assist in coordinating events, such as voter registration drives and town halls, to foster dialogue around critical issues.
• Monitor and analyze voter turnout data to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts and adjust strategies as needed.
• Build relationships with local organizations and stakeholders to enhance collaborative efforts in mobilizing voters.
• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to J Street U chapter leaders, helping them to develop their leadership skills and organizing capabilities.
• Participate in regular team meetings to share updates, discuss challenges, and brainstorm innovative solutions for increasing voter engagement.

Requirements

• A strong commitment to civic engagement and social justice, particularly within the context of the Jewish community.
• Previous experience in grassroots organizing, political campaigns, or community outreach is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with the electoral process and knowledge of key issues affecting young voters.
