Marketing Community Manager
Job description
About the role
You are the person who makes 9amHealth feel human at scale. You own the end to end stewardship of member communities that turn a clinical platform into a trusted daily reality. This role blends community management, social media, and event execution into one relationship focused position. You will design systems that make members feel seen, heard, and supported every day. You speak to HR leaders and patients in the same breath without losing credibility or clarity. Ultimately, you are the steady presence that keeps 9amHealth grounded in the real lives of the people we serve.
Key facts
What you'll do
Build and manage 9amHealth's member community across digital and physical touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive experience that reflects our brand values and clinical credibility.
Design and execute a consistent cadence of engagement initiatives that guide members from awareness to active participation and long term retention within the 9amHealth ecosystem.
Identify and cultivate member advocates who volunteer their stories and insights, then support them in sharing those stories in ways that feel authentic and impactful.
Own the moderation, content planning, and health of multiple community platforms, including forums, social channels, and dedicated member spaces, keeping conversations safe and constructive.
Be a consistently responsive presence in community spaces, answering questions in real time, escalating sensitive concerns to internal teams, and documenting patterns that inform broader strategy.
Manage 9amHealth's social media presence with strategic care, developing content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms that balances clinical accuracy with human warmth.
Create posts, stories, and short form video that highlight real member outcomes, making the impact of 9amHealth feel tangible, relatable, and worth sharing.
Analyze engagement metrics, audience growth, and content performance across platforms, then translate insights into ongoing experiments that improve reach and resonance.
Stay fluent in the conversations shaping health, wellness, and the future of work so that 9amHealth's social presence remains timely and relevant.
Plan and run virtual and in person member events such as webinars, wellness sessions, and Q and A opportunities that deepen trust and engagement.
Support employer facing in person events like health fairs and benefits sessions, collaborating closely with Customer Success and Marketing teams to represent 9amHealth professionally.
Serve as the primary connector between member sentiment and internal decisions, surfacing trends, feedback, and unmet needs to Marketing, Product, and Clinical teams.
Collaborate closely with clinical and content specialists to develop programming and messaging that is medically accurate, on brand, and genuinely useful to diverse members.
Champion a test and learn mindset in community and social work, using data to refine tone, timing, and topics while respecting privacy and compliance requirements.
Maintain a detailed understanding of the member journey so that every interaction, from first touch to long term retention, feels intentional and thoughtfully designed.
Requirements
Bring 4 or more years of experience in community management, social media, or a closely related marketing role, preferably within consumer health, wellness, or B2B2C environments.
Show a track record of building and growing engaged online communities, not merely scheduling posts or managing static content calendars.
Demonstrate strong social media instincts across platforms, knowing how LinkedIn, Instagram, and member forums each demand distinct approaches to voice, format, and value.
Have experience planning and executing events across both virtual and in-person formats, from initial concept through post event follow up and measurement.
Write and communicate with clarity and empathy, easily shifting your voice to speak to an HR leader and a member managing a chronic condition in the same day.
Comfortably operate at the intersection of clinical credibility, brand warmth, and community led growth while adhering to privacy, compliance, and ethical standards.
Understand the nuances of B2B2C relationships, recognizing how decisions made for employers ultimately affect the lived experience of members.
Show discipline in managing routine community tasks while remaining creative and responsive to emerging opportunities and challenges.
Nice to have
Experience in digital health, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, or dyslipidemia focused environments where clinical accuracy matters.
Background working with employer benefits teams or pharmacy benefit managers that influence coverage and access.
Familiarity with community platforms and tools that support member journeys at scale.
Practical notes
This is a full time position based in the United States.
The role may require attendance at in person employer and health fair events, with travel as needed.
Candidates must be able to meet standard employment eligibility requirements and pass any necessary background checks.
The position reports to the Marketing leadership team and works cross functionally with Clinical, Customer Success, and Product teams.
Application materials should reflect your experience balancing strategic planning with day to day community engagement.
This role is suited for a generalist who is equally comfortable writing a LinkedIn post for an HR leader and building a warm, credible space for members managing chronic conditions.
You are expected to iterate quickly, document your work, and share examples of community growth, engagement, and event outcomes.
Confidentiality and compliance are non negotiable, given the sensitive nature of health data and employer partnerships.
If you are energized by building long term relationships at scale and shaping how people experience chronic care in a virtual setting, this is the role for you.
