What you'll do

• Lead and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality of work, and compliance with safety regulations, addressing any issues that arise promptly.
• Supervise and mentor construction teams, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

• Oversee the financial aspects of projects, including budget tracking, cost control, and reporting to ensure profitability.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully completing large-scale projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations, particularly in the Virgin Islands context.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Proficient in project management software and tools, with a solid understanding of budgeting and financial management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges that arise on-site.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Experience with sustainable building practices and green construction methods.
• Familiarity with local construction codes and regulations specific to the Virgin Islands.
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar credentials.
• Experience in managing remote teams or projects in island or offshore locations.

Skills & tools

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera, or similar).
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD or similar design software is a plus.
• Familiarity with safety management systems and protocols.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
