What you'll do
- Assist the Superintendent in managing day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring that all activities align with project timelines and objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate effective communication and coordination throughout the construction process.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any potential delays or issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.

- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Contribute to the development of project budgets and assist in monitoring expenditures to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide updates on project status and address any inquiries or feedback.
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction management or a related field, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices, particularly in residential and commercial building projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with safety regulations and building codes applicable to the Virgin Islands.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Nice to have
- A degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in tropical or island environments, with knowledge of local construction practices and challenges.
