About the role
Bamboohr is currently looking for an Accountant to join their team in Bangkok on a full-time basis. The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with Thai regulations, and supporting the overall accounting operations of the company. This role involves handling day-to-day bookkeeping responsibilities and contributing to the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. What you'll do
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for all company transactions conducted within Thailand on a daily basis without exception
Process invoices, receipts, and other financial documents ensuring proper classification, coding, and timely entry into the system
Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a regular monthly cycle to identify and resolve any discrepancies
Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports that are provided to management for review and decision-making
Ensure full compliance with Thai accounting standards and all relevant local regulatory requirements applicable to the business
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by gathering, verifying, and organizing all necessary documentation and records
Track accounts payable and accounts receivable balances carefully and follow up on outstanding items to maintain healthy cash flow
Collaborate with other departments across the organization to verify transaction details and resolve any financial discrepancies that arise
Maintain organized filing systems for all financial documents including both physical records and digital files in a secure manner
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities by providing detailed historical cost data, variance analysis, and supporting documentation as needed for planning
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited university or institution is required
Proven experience working in an accounting or finance role within a professional corporate or business environment is expected
Strong understanding of Thai accounting standards, local tax regulations, and compliance obligations relevant to financial operations
Proficiency in using accounting software applications and spreadsheet tools for managing and analyzing financial data effectively
Excellent attention to detail with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines consistently
Good written and verbal communication skills in English are necessary for professional correspondence and team collaboration
Willingness to work full-time in Bangkok, Thailand on a permanent basis with a standard office schedule
A minimum of several years of hands-on experience in accounting or a closely related financial discipline within a professional setting is preferred
Nice to have
Experience with international financial reporting standards or cross-border transactions and multi-currency accounting practices is valued
Knowledge of ERP systems or enterprise-level accounting platforms commonly used in financial departments across organizations
Familiarity with Thai tax filing procedures, customs regulations, and local compliance workflows specific to the Bangkok region
Additional professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or a related accounting qualification would be a strong advantage
Prior experience working in a multinational company or an organization with significant operations in the Thai market

Spreadsheet software proficiency for financial modeling, data organization, and generating management reports and summaries
Document management and filing systems for maintaining audit readiness and ensuring secure storage of financial records
Knowledge of document management best practices and record-keeping standards for financial operations and internal audits

This is a full-time position based in the Bamboohr office in Bangkok with standard business hours and regular working expectations
The role reports directly to the finance or accounting manager within the Bamboohr organization in the greater Bangkok area
