About the role
You are a detail-oriented team player with strong organisational skills who ensures financial accuracy for private equity funds from intake to shipment. Daily ownership of cash movement clarity and client deliverables defines this role. You operate as a precise operator within UK GAAP or IFRS frameworks.
What you will do
You will work closely with your line manager to set financial statements according to fund reporting requirements under UK GAAP or IFRS. You will review investor drawdown calculations to confirm the accuracy of figures as funds seek access to their commitments from investors. You will review investor distribution calculations to verify that proceeds from the sale of investments are recorded correctly and allocated appropriately for payment to investors. You will ensure accurate communication of all cash movements between the fund and its investors through the issuance of relevant notices. You will oversee the preparation and completion process of client deliverables, including agreeing timetables with clients and ensuring timely completion. You will coordinate intake documentation so that build phase data remains consistent and audit ready. You will validate build outputs against source data before any review cycle begins. You will partner with fund managers to ship final accounts, closing the workflow loop for each client.
What we offer
You will receive comprehensive remuneration with a motivating financial package based on market rates, proportionate to your qualifications, level of experience, and skills profile. You will be part of a generous pension scheme with an employer contribution and the ability to allow and increase employee contributions. You will have access to wellbeing benefits such as private health and dental cover, life assurance, discounted gym membership, eye tests, and corporate GP services. You are entitled to 25 days paid annual leave plus all UK public holidays, with enhanced maternity and paternity leave, including shared parental leave and adoption leave. Flexible working arrangements are available, and we are open to conversations about establishing work-life balance. You will have access to learning and development programmes through systems such as PowerU and MyCampus, alongside a hybrid working approach that supports connection with colleagues. We are committed to sustainability, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and to fostering an inclusive culture through our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion steering committee.
Required experience
You are ACCA/ACA/CIMA part or fully qualified or qualified by experience. You have previously worked in financial services or accounting practices handling multiple client relationships. You have experience reviewing working paper files and financial statements, including disclosures, or can demonstrate a strong accounting background through previous experience and CPD. You manage client relationships and have experience resolving issues directly with clients. You have experience supporting and mentoring junior team members.
