About the role

What you'll do
Perform detailed reviews of fund accounting outputs to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client mandates. Apply advanced knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) to resolve complex accounting treatments for diverse investment vehicles. Provide technical guidance and support to preparers to ensure correct application of accounting policies across fund structures. Validate capital calls, distribution workings, and fund books of accounts to ensure alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the design and execution of process improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening internal controls and review cycles. Ensure all client-specific requirements are embedded in deliverables to maintain strict compliance throughout the review cycle. Act as a subject matter expert in fund accounting systems and tools to support efficient issue resolution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate month-end close activities and ensure timely delivery of accurate reports.
Requirements
CPA license or equivalent is required for candidates from accounting, finance, or business administration backgrounds. Minimum of 5 years of overall experience includes 3 years in fund accounting, OR financial reporting, OR external audit focused on complex portfolios and advanced accounting modules. Consistent proficiency in reviewing financial statements demonstrates readiness for the role. Strong understanding of accounting standards (IFRS or GAAP) and regulatory requirements is necessary. Expertise in validating capital calls, distribution workings, and fund books and records is essential. Candidates must be comfortable working in a regulated investment services environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines is required. Fluency in English is mandatory for effective communication with global stakeholders.
