About the role
IQE-Q is seeking an Accountant 2 to join its Fund Accounting team in Pasig City. This is a full-time position focused on supporting the accounting operations for investment funds managed by the firm. The role involves preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with established accounting standards. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to maintain accurate fund records and support the broader finance function. Day-to-day responsibilities center on processing fund transactions, verifying investor allocations, and contributing to the timely delivery of financial reporting packages. This position plays a key part in upholding the accuracy and integrity of fund-level financial data across multiple investment vehicles. The team operates within a global organization that serves a diverse range of fund clients across multiple jurisdictions.

What you'll do
Prepare and review daily fund accounting entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Reconcile bank accounts and brokerage statements against internal ledger balances on a regular schedule
Calculate and distribute income and capital gains allocations to investors and fund stakeholders
Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements for multiple fund structures
Support the month-end and year-end close processes by gathering and organizing supporting documentation
Verify that all transactions are recorded in accordance with applicable accounting policies and procedures
Communicate with fund administrators and custodians to resolve discrepancies in account balances
Maintain organized files and documentation for audit purposes and internal review cycles
Monitor fund cash flows and flag unusual movements for review by the accounting team
Assist with the onboarding of new fund structures by setting up chart of accounts and configuration
Review and process investor subscription and redemption requests in coordination with the fund administrator
Participate in periodic internal reviews and process improvement initiatives within the accounting department
Requirements
Demonstrated experience in fund accounting or a related area within the financial services sector
Solid understanding of accounting principles including accruals, deferrals, and fair value measurements
Ability to manage multiple fund portfolios and meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced setting
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, reliable financial data
Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal and external partners
Willingness to work in Pasig City on a full-time basis as part of a collaborative team
Familiarity with investment fund structures such as mutual funds, hedge funds, or private equity vehicles
Degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution
Experience with journal entry preparation and account reconciliations in a professional services or fund environment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining a high standard of work
Nice to have
Prior experience working with fund administrators or prime brokers in a professional services environment
Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements relevant to investment funds in the Philippines
Exposure to fund accounting software platforms or enterprise resource planning systems
Certification such as CPA or ACCA, or progress toward obtaining a professional accounting designation
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across different fund accounting workstreams and projects
Skills & tools
Proficiency in general ledger systems and fund accounting modules used in investment management
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formula auditing
Familiarity with financial reporting frameworks such as IFRS or local Philippine accounting standards
Experience with document management and file organization for audit trail purposes
Ability to use email and calendar applications to coordinate tasks and track deadlines
Understanding of basic database concepts for extracting and validating financial data
Comfort using email, shared drives, and collaboration platforms to manage accounting workflows and file exchanges
